The worst thing to happen on any stalk hunt is coming up on a buck, moving to a better position, and hearing the sound of your pack squeak. Not only did you lose the chance to get a great kill but the pack you thought would assist your hunting ventures is now a liability.
Stealth and silence are two imperative attributes to have during any hunting trip and your gear must conform. There are enough challenges to bagging an elk or deer, there’s no need to add your noisy and cumbersome pack to your list.
Timber Hawk Killshot Backpack
That’s why the Timber Hawk Killshot backpack is built with silence in mind. Constructed from a polyester and PVC blend, the pack moves with your body without the noise and rubbing for which many packs are notorious.
The pack itself is small and lightweight while big enough to accommodate all your hunting needs while you’re in the field. Full of organizational pockets and accessories, the Killshot is worth every penny to make your next hunting trip a success.
Features of Timber Hawk Killshot backpack
Though small the Killshot offers plenty of features making it one of the most organized packs on the market.
2 Liter Hydration Pack
For starters, the pack includes a 2 Liter hydration pack with an insulated drinking tube meaning your water won’t be effected by the elements. Hydration is one of the most important and yet most overlooked aspects of hunting. The Killshot makes it easy to stay hydrated without the water freezing during those cold winter months.
Hawk Eye Binocular Strap
Besides your rifle, binoculars may be the most important piece of equipment you’ll carry and with the Killshot you can keep your binoculars secure and accessible.
The Hawk Eye binocular strap system securely fastens your binoculars to your pack while keeping them in front of you so you can access them quickly and efficiently. No more tangled straps and no more having to rustle through your bag to find your binoculars.
Silent Stalk Quick Ejection Clips
There are moments when time is of the essence and you have to take off your pack quickly and/or with limited movement. The Silent Stalk quick ejection clips allow you to do just that. Simply lift the straps and your pack will slide off your back.
Hip & Shoulder Strap Pockets
One of the features customers love the most about the Timber Hawk Killshot backpack is the hip and shoulder strap pockets. Now you can store a GPS or radio within easy reach on your shoulders and you can keep snacks and/or small gear in the hip pockets.
The easy to access zippered pockets are well located so they’re out of the way when you don’t need them but within reach when you do.
Built-in Rain Cover
Hunting season usually falls during some of the rainiest parts of the year meaning your gear is at risk of being exposed to moisture and humidity. To help minimize this, Timber Hawk included a built-in rain fly in blaze orange. During wet weather and torrential downpours, your gear will be safe and dry inside your pack. All you have to do is remember to put it on.

Value for Money
Retail price for this pack is slightly higher than most packs of its size though still well within reason. That being said, after taking down a ten-point buck, you’ll be happy you spent that little extra.

Downfalls of Timber Hawk Killshot backpack
Slightly on the heavier side
Most buyers have very little to complain about when it comes to this pack as it is well designed and very durable. The only complaint some have had is the weight of the pack itself. It’s a little heavier due to the construction materials and heavy-duty zippers. Most have overlooked this issue and are absolutely in love with their pack.
Slightly Unbalanced
With the large number of pockets on the outside and within the main compartment, some users have also noticed their packs are unbalanced when everything is stored and put away. This isn’t a huge issue for most hunters who walk in and walk out to a blind or tree stand, but those who stalk and cover many miles a day, this could lead to annoying aches and pains.
