Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance and there will be no charge from Global Village Backpackers. Please note we cannot change any cancellation fees that might be charged to you by a third party booking agent.
Guarantee
Global Village Backpackers offers guests a money back guarantee. If you don’t like your room or our hostel for any reason we will gladly offer to refund your overnight fee. Please note that this offer applies only to guests who contact the on duty manager directly within four hours of their arrival with their complaint. Any guests requesting a refund on the following day must speak directly with the Hotel Manager who will make a decision at that time. We will do everything possible to ensure you are satisfied!
Washrooms
Washrooms, including toilets and showers are shared (same sex only) between all guests. This allows us to keep our prices lower than traditional hotels. Please note all washrooms and toilets are professionally cleaned daily. If you find any issues with the washrooms contact the front desk and we will resolve the problem!
Cooking
There is a large guest kitchen and eating area at the hostel. You can prepare and store your own food in order to keep your travelling costs down! Guests are welcome to eat their own food on the patio if they prefer.
Hours of Operation
Global Village Backpackers is open 24 hours daily, 365 days per year. The front door to the hotel is locked after midnight, but your access key allows you to enter anytime. You can ring the buzzer to check-in with the front desk staff on duty anytime, day or night.
Alcohol
The liquor laws in Ontario are quite stringent and since the hostel has a liquor license no outside alcohol is permitted on the premises. Don’t worry—the Departure Lounge bar offer the cheapest drinks in the downtown area!
